The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)

CHAS is the leading health and safety body for the construction industry in the UK. Since its formation in 1997, it has sought to standardise, simplify, and improve health and safety assessments across the country. It works with other industry bodies to ensure all its accredited members comply with current HSE guidance and regulations.

FENestration Self Assessment scheme (FENSA)

FENSA was set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) to regulate double-glazing companies and to make sure they comply with current Building Regulations. These include such things as thermal performance – a key consideration with double-glazed windows. As a FENSA-registered company, we are not only able to install your new windows, but also to certify them as meeting current building standards.

The Consumer Protection Association (CPA)

For more than two decades, the CPA has assisted consumers who enter into contracts with installers and other contractors. Regulated in turn by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), their purpose is to protect any customers having work undertaken on their property. Specifically, they offer financial protection solutions to mitigate the risk of a construction company going into liquidation or administration prior to completing the work.

ConstructionLine

Constructionline is a national register used by the construction industry here in the UK. It holds details of more than 46,000 pre-qualified contractors and consultants. It was set up by the UK government in 1998 in an effort to reduce red tape for buyers looking to hire contractors. To be included in their register, companies like ours must demonstrate our qualifications as contractors.

PAS2030

We are PAS2030-certified through our association with FENSA. PAS2030 is an abbreviation of Publicly Available Specifications standards 2030, which ensures contractors have the skills and procedures in place to deliver energy-efficient components. This is a key certification for working with local authorities and other public sector bodies.
