James Lee House

2021 – 6 weeks – £140,000

James Lee House is a Salvation Army building in Warrington that was being repurposed into a short-stay solution for homeless people in the area. The six-storey building was being converted into mini-apartments across the bottom three floors. These were intended for the homeless to stay for short periods while given practical advice and assistance to help them find a job or a house of their own.

Like many of the projects we take on from EQUANS, we were instructed to fit windows in these new apartments. Since the work took us as high as the second floor, we needed to hire and erect scaffolding to ensure a safe working environment for our crew. This was all included in our costs for the project and arranged by ourselves, so as not to inconvenience our client.
